Robert de Niet is Lecturer in BA (Hons) Fashion Journalism at UCA Epsom. He has worked for over 20 years as Graphic Designer, Typographer and Art Director.

His clients include Diesel, Walt Disney, Amnesty International, BBC TV, Citibank, D1 Models, Levi’s, M&C Saatchi, NOKI, Smirnoff vodka, Stüssy, SuperBlow, V&A, Virgin Airlines and Virgin Mobile and Zandra Rhodes.

He is the Editorial and Design Director of bi-annual glossy fashion magazine ‘Velour’, and Art Director of the fashion magazine ‘What?!’  and ‘Bobby Dazzler” Robert was the co-author and designer of the book ‘Zandra Rhodes: A Lifelong Love Affair With Textiles’ and ‘My Favourite Dress’, designer for ‘let’s start a pussy riot’ and is now writing and designing a new book on the history of style magazines as well as a book of the fabrics of Malaysia and another on the fashion designer Bernard Chandran.

Other notable career highlights have included him being the muse for Australian denim label Nobody, The Art Director for the Fashion & Textile Museum, and a runway model for legendary designer Yohji Yamamoto.

Robert works on a jewellery line for the designer Mark Fast, which is shown at both London and Paris Fashion Weeks. He now splits his time working between the UK and Malaysia working for both fashion and museum clients.
