After a first degree in History Lisa Chadwick lived and worked in Tokyo, where the journey into her photographic career began. After completing a master's in Photojournalism at Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, she went on to work in the busy hub of the news room.
Later overseeing the team that created the first ever digital archive for the National Trusts Photo Library, Lisa then went on to work in the emerging dotcom field as Content and Picture Research Manager for Alamy Images. A period as an Art Director within the stock library field saw her producing and directing commercial photographic shoots worldwide. Most recently during a stint living in Zurich she collaborated with Bilderlounge Munich on creating a new visual identity for Kuoni.
Lisa has been with UCA since the inception of Digitisation Services in 2011 and supports all staff and student with their digitisation needs, provides access to digital collections and runs a highly successful internship programme that offers students the opportunity to learn digitsation skills in a professional environment. One current area of research for Lisa in her work as Digital Services Manager is 3D object capture.
Lisa Manages the external consultancy service Access Digital offering digitisation support for a wide range of commercial clients, such as museums, galleries, archive collections and other HE institutions.
Lisa is also currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Creative Arts Education.
