Libby is the English for Creative Arts Tutor which entails preparing international students for their MA and BA art and design courses. She teaches English and academic skills as well as helping her students feel integrated into their new surroundings.

Libby graduated from a BA (Hons) in Drama with English from Loughborough University in 2011 and an MA in Intercultural Communication from Manchester University in 2018.

After graduating from Loughborough, she lived in Spain for four years to teach and learn Spanish. She eventually taught for the British Council in Madrid and co-founded a small English ‘micro-theatre’ company. She also managed international summer schools in the UK which offered English to overseas students and prepared teenagers for UK universities.

During her MA Libby became interested in migration and undertook research into West African migrants in Spain. She recently worked in the charity sector coordinating projects to help refugees and migrants integrate and improve their language skills in London. She has also worked on the ‘Pre-Sessional English for Academic Purposes’ course at UCA.
