Serena Katt is an illustrator working with narrative sequences and visual essays, and is currently Lecturer in Illustration on the MA Illustration course at UCA Farnham.

Serena Katt studied at Norwich School of Art and Design before graduating from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Communication Design in 2013. Serena’s work explores how illustration can be used as an active tool for highlighting, understanding, interpreting and re-evaluating dominant narratives about historical events. Her current research looks at the relationship that Britain has to its’ colonial past. Her first graphic Novel, Sunday’s Child, is published by Jonathan Cape, and was named the Observer Graphic Novel of the Month in April 2019.
