Jessica Ashman has been the technician for Stop-motion Production at UCA Farnham for the past 2 years. She is also an award winning animation director and artist, based in London.
As a director, her clients include the BBC, Channel 4 and numerous independent film productions, both personal and commission based. Her independent short film projects as a writer and director have seen her working with the likes of Arts Council England, UK Film Council, DigiCult and B3 Media, with her 2011 commissioned short, Fixing Luka, going on to compete in over 50 festivals worldwide, and picking up both a New Talent BAFTA and Scottish BAFTA award.
She also works a freelance as a model maker, having worked on advertisements for companies such as Toyota, Nike, Velvet and Nationwide as well as running animation workshops for organisations such as the Tate, ICA and Eastside Educational Trust.
A Royal College of Art graduate, she is currently working on freelance work and personal projects in her studio alongside her work at UCA.
