Hayley has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Arts Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Since graduating from Staffordshire University with a first class degree in Design Photography, Hayley has worked as a photographer for a London based modelling agency as well as a children’s portrait photographer. She also spent time working for the National Trust digitising images for use within their Photo Library. Her freelance work has included work such as website promotional imagery for an early English Pottery Restoration company as well as branding of a new vintage tableware business. She worked with Ezenma Mbonu (Fashion Design Lecturer and Author) to produce images for Ezenma’s publication ‘Fashion Design Research’.
Hayley began working at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design in July 2001. She currently works part time as Technical Tutor in Photography planning and running photography group workshops at UCA Epsom. Hayley also provides one-to-one support to students and advises on suitable lighting techniques in the photography studios. She works collaboratively in running and maintaining the seven professionally equipped Photography Studio spaces used by all UCA Epsom courses.
Hayley has worked as a sessional lecturer in Photography at East Surrey College and has also run sessions for the Saturday Art Club at UCA Epsom.
She thrives on the satisfaction that she is in a position to motivate students to understand and enjoy photography.
