In this project Emmanuelle Waeckerlé revisits The Story of O, the famous erotic novel first published in French in 1954, and in English in 1965. Her reworking of the original story attempts to navigate a passage through this difficult literary work and its history. She offers a few simple strategies and choices for reading – alone or with others, in private, or to an audience – in a book of experimental writing, an audio artwork, text scores and performances.
