UCA are hosting a series of Taster Workshops at our Farnham campus which will enable you to come and try a range of creative activities, develop your skills and portfolio, and gain an insight into studying a creative subject at degree level.
Priority for places will be given to students living in HEON target postcode areas. You can check your eligibility here.
These workshops are open to students in Years 9-13.
You will need to bring source material with you to use as inspiration for the decoration of a bisque ware bowl/plate. You will be introduced to a selection of underglaze colours that you will be able to combine to create your decorative patterns. The work will then be glazed and fired.
In this workshop you will be experimenting with weaving techniques and printing with binders, stencils, and heat presses to design a tote bag or t-shirt.
In April's workshop we explored different traditional printmaking techniques, creating our own lino cut prints and monoprints. Everyone designed their own canvas tote bag to take home.
