International fees and finance

This information is for international students only. If you are a UK or EU student, you will need our fees and finance pages.

There are two options of fees for all courses except the Pre-sessional English courses. If you choose to pay your fees in full before you enrol for your course, you will pay the discounted fee. If you choose to pay after you enrol, or pay in instalments, you will pay the standard fee.

Please note: These fees are correct for the stated academic year only. Costs may increase each year during a student’s period of continued registration on course in line with inflation (subject to any maximum regulated tuition fee limit). Any adjustment for continuing students will be at or below the RPI-X forecast rate.

All fees are correct at the current time, but are subject to amendment as a result of changes in Government policy on tuition fees, entitlement to fee reductions and tax or benefit rules. You should check for the latest information before enrolment.

Paying your deposit and tuition fees

Once you have firmly accepted your offer to study with us, you will need to pay a tuition fee deposit of £2,500. This is partial payment of your tuition fees. We need this before we can issue your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number, which you need when you apply for your UK student visa.

You can pay your deposit by bank transfer, WeChat, UnionPay, Alipay or Tenpay using our secure bank transfer portal, which allows you to pay in your local currency with a favourable exchange rate compared to most banks and with no transaction charges. If you use the bank transfer portal, you will need to enter your UCA student number, your contact details, your chosen currency and the amount you want to pay. You will receive a quote for the amount in your local currency; this quote is guaranteed for 72 hours, during which time you should instruct your bank to transfer funds using the instructions you receive.

You can also pay your deposit by credit or debit card using our online payment system. Please find full instructions on using the online payment system here.

When we receive your deposit we will confirm this by email, and we will let you know which immigration-related documents we require from you in order to issue your CAS.

Remember, if you want to pay the discounted tuition fee, you will need to pay your tuition fees in full before the published start date of the course. Alternatively, you can pay your fees in instalments. You will need to pay 50% of your tuition fees before your course starts and the remaining balance within six months. You can arrange an instalment plan with our Finance department before your course starts.
