This exhibition highlights UCA’s renowned Glass Department, which has a long-standing reputation for fostering innovation, technical skill, and artistic exploration. UCA’s Ceramics & Glass course provides students with the tools and mentorship to push the boundaries of ceramics and glassmaking, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and experimentation.

Shaping Glass | Shaping Futures showcases works by current and former UCA staff, students, alumni, and international artists-in-residence, reflecting the rich legacy of UCA’s glass education and its profound influence on the artistic practices of those who have passed through its doors.

As part of the wider October Craft Month celebrations, this exhibition emphasises the enduring importance of craft in contemporary culture. October Craft Month is a vibrant platform that advocates the role of crafts in shaping creative futures, connecting heritage with innovation, and supporting a thriving community of makers.
