School of Communications Research at UCA

UCA’s School of Communications has an active research culture that is focused on how communication shapes our lives and cultures. We use this knowledge to develop new ways of thinking about the cultural contexts of communication, critical theory, design, illustration, journalism, activism, and image-making. In this school research staff work across a wide range of fields including post-colonial theory, design history, illustration as research method to produce innovative socially engaged and politically conscious work.
