The School of Crafts & Design invites our recent graduates to apply for one of a limited number of artist in residence posts, commencing September 2019 and finishing August 2020.
Artists in the following subject areas may apply:
- Product and furniture design
- Textiles print / weave
- Interior architecture and design.
Artists in Residence will have access to the outstanding facilities at our Farnham campus. Residencies provide a dedicated opportunity for new themes / works to be developed within the lively context of the School of Crafts & Design and should occupy three days a week minimum.
In return you will offer pro-active engagement with the School community, to be agreed in discussion with the Head of School / relevant course leader and equating to approximately half a day a week minimum.
Artists in residence are not employees of the University nor receive a stipend. Overseas applicants are responsible for ensuring they have a valid visa covering the residency period. UCA cannot enter into any dialogue with the UKBA in respect of visa applications. All successful applicants must have public liability insurance.
