for teachers and careers advisors
We know that Clearing can be a manic, stressful time for both students and staff, and we want to provide as much guidance as possible to help smooth the process and get your students a place at university on the course they want to study.
If you’re a teacher or careers adviser, here are some FAQs which might help you assist your students. If you’ve got an enquiry which isn’t covered here, just fill out the form at the end of the page, and we’ll do our best to help.
For all enquiries, contact us on
(lines are open from 9am - 5pm).
If the student meets the entry requirements and there are spaces on the course, we will indicate whether we can make an offer on the call. Once the verbal offer is made, we’ll follow up within a few hours with the official written offer via email, which they will need to accept as soon as they can.
We hope our campuses will be open to visitors during the Clearing period – however, given the continuing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be subject to any restrictions in place at the time. Keep an eye on our Coronavirus page for the latest updates.
In the meantime, we have launched a virtual open day page to help students get a feel for our campuses.
Space in our halls is limited, and unfortunately all rooms will have been allocated by the time Clearing opens. However, there are many options for shared student housing in the towns and cities our campuses are based in, and lots of first-year students rent privately (whether they applied through Clearing or not). Our accommodation team can help students with finding a place to live - take a look at our accommodation webpages to find out more.
