About our accommodation
If you're looking for accommodation information at our Open Day you're likely thinking of applying for on-campus halls. Below is some key information you need to know along with links to our accommodation options.
You'll also find information about finding private accommodation in the local area.
Before you apply for accommodation
- You'll need to have accepted UCA as your firm choice
- You must be intending to study a full-time course and be in beginning your first year of study at UCA
Application process
- You can apply via the UCA Accommodation Portal from March 2027
- Applications along with any medical evidence and UCA's medical form must be submitted by early June
- Room allocations begin in June and offers will be emailed to you
- You can still apply after the June deadline, but rooms will be subject to availability
About the rooms
- All rooms are single occupancy
- Rooms are self-catered with shared kitchens
- Bedroom furniture provided including mattress
- Ovens, kettles and microwaves provided
- Cleaning equipment such as a hoover and mop is also provided
- Toasters, irons and ironing boards not provided
Accommodation contracts
- One room offer per student
- Must be studying full-time and in first year of study
- Accommodation is not guaranteed
- You'll need to find private accommodation for future years
Allocation priorities
- Diagnosed medical conditions and/or disclosed disabilities which necessitate living on campus
- Care experienced students
- Refugees and/or asylum seekers
- Home address is the greatest distance from campus
Medical applicants
- When you apply you must tick that you're applying on medical grounds
- You'll need to provide supporting documentation and get our medical form completed by your registered doctor and/medical practioner
- Evidence must be submitted before the June deadline

- Tracks to take students between bedroom and ensuite
Residence fees include...
- Internet
- Utility bills
- Basic insurance
- Weekly health and hygiene clean of communal areas
- Onsite laundry(charges apply)
- Onsite mailroom for parcels
Contract lengths
- 38 weeks for undergraduates
- 51 weeks for postgraduates
- You'll remain liable for residence fees unless you stop studying at UCA (you're then subject top a maximum of 28 days or find a replacement that accommodation staff approve)
- You're bound by terms and conditions of reference
Fee payment
- £300 advanced payment to secure room
- You can choose to pay termly in advance in line with student loan payments or pay before the start of the contract
