Open Day attendance and surveys – prize draw
These terms and conditions apply to the 2023 Open Day survey prize draw for the University for the Creative Arts (UCA).
30 September 2023 Open Day Prize Draw
- You must agree to be entered into the survey prize draw when completing the specific 30 September 2023 survey.
- The competition closes at 23:55 on Thursday 5 October 2023.
21 October 2023 Open Day Prize Draw
- You must agree to be entered into the survey prize draw when completing the specific 21 October 2023 survey.
- The competition closes at 23:55 on Thursday 26 October 2023.
8 November 2023 Open Day Prize Draw
- You must agree to be entered into the survey prize draw when completing the specific 8 November 2023 survey.
- The competition closes at 23:55 on Tuesday 14 November 2023.
25 November 2023 Open Day Prize Draw
- You must agree to be entered into the survey prize draw when completing the specific 25 November 2023 survey.
- The competition closes at 23:55 on Thursday 30 November 2023.
The following Terms & Conditions apply to both our Open Day attendee prize draw and our Open Day survey prize draw:
- The Promoter of this prize draw is the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), Falkner Road, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7DS. We may also be referred to as the “University” or “UCA”. If you have any questions, please contact us.
- The prize draws are open to attendees of our Open Day events across all four campuses – Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Maidstone.
- Only UK residents will be eligible to enter the prize draws.
- The prize draws are free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
- Entries received after the closing time will not be considered (see above for specific closing times).
- Any entrants after the deadlines (shown above) will not be considered.
- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
- UCA accepts no responsibility for entries not being received for whatever reason.
- Employees, agencies of the University for the Creative Arts or their family members or anyone else connected with the Open Day or survey may not enter the draw.
- The prize is one £100 Amazon e-gift card. There is one prize available for the attendance prize draw, and another prize available for the survey prize draw.
- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or associated with Amazon.
- The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. The prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Winners will be chosen at random by software from all entries received and verified by UCA.
- The winner will be notified within seven days of the competition’s closing date. UCA will contact the winners through the email address they used to enter.
- If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within seven days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
- UCA’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- UCA reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of our control.
- The University is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and personal data supplied during the course of this promotion. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed for the purpose of this competition and as set out in the university's Privacy Notice.
- We may ask you to provide us with proof of your eligibility to enter the competition and we reserve the right to decide whether or not eligibility criteria have been met. Breach of any of the eligibility criteria may result in your disqualification from the competition.
- The winner agrees to the use of their name in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the university, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the university, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- The university must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the university will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who contacts us within one month after the closing date. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact us. In such circumstances, the university must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
- Details of the competition are correct as at date of publication.
- By checking in to the Open Day or adding your email address to the survey, you accept these terms and conditions and indicate your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
