1. Eligibility

  • This incentive is available to new undergraduate students enrolling at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in September 2026.
  • To qualify, students must complete and submit the official Accommodation Incentive Form in person on the same day as attending a scheduled Accommodation Tour at a designated UCA Open Day, and prior to submitting their UCAS application.
  • The incentive is not available to students who:
    • are progressing internally from one UCA course to another;
    • defer their offer and commence studies in a later year;
    • withdraw and subsequently re-apply to the University.
  • Apply before the accommodation application deadline (to be communicated by the Accommodation Team in the future)

2. Discount

  • A 10% discount will be applied to the published total accommodation fee for the first year of residence in eligible UCA-managed accommodation only.
  • The discount will be distributed evenly across all instalments, regardless of whether accommodation fees are paid in full or via an instalment plan.
  • This discount:
    • applies only to the first year of occupancy;
    • is not renewable or extendable beyond the first year.

3. Accommodation Included

  • The discount is valid only for accommodation managed directly by UCA.
  • Eligible properties are as follows:
    • Canterbury: Ian Dury House (Exclusions: Riverside Student Quarter)
    • Epsom: Wilberforce Court, Worple Road (Exclusions: Bradford House, Crossways House)
    • Farnham: University Walk, Student Village (Exclusions: Polden Studios, Union Yard)
  • UCA reserves the right to update this list in line with changes to its accommodation portfolio.

4. Conditions of Residence

  • All accommodation offers are subject to availability and are allocated an accordance with the UCA accommodation allocation policy. No guarantee of a place is provided by participation in the incentive scheme.
  • If the eligible accommodation is fully booked, withdrawn, or otherwise unavailable, no alternative discount, cash substitute, or compensation will be offered.
  • Students must fulfil all contractual obligations, including those relating to tuition and accommodation fee payments, in order to retain the discount. UCA reserves the right to reclaim or cancel the discount if payment terms are breached.
  • If a student withdraws, defers, or is withdrawn from their course, or cancels their accommodation partway through the academic year, the discount may be prorated or revoked in full at UCA’s discretion.

5. Claiming the Discount

  • Students attending a qualifying Accommodation Tour will be provided access to a short online form to register their attendance and claim eligibility.
  • The form must be completed and submitted on the day of the Open Day Tour. Late or retrospective submissions will not be accepted.
  • Submitted forms will be shared securely with the UCA Accommodation Team, who will verify eligibility and apply the discount as appropriate.

Data Protection Notice: All personal data collected as part of this process will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and UCA’s Privacy Notice. Data will only be used for the purpose of administering this incentive and will be retained in accordance with UCA’s Data Retention Policy.

By submitting the form, students consent to the processing of their data for the administration of the incentive.

6. Limitations and Exclusions

  • The incentive:
    • applies only to new undergraduate students starting in September 2026;
    • cannot be combined with any other accommodation-related discounts, waivers, or promotions;
    • is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash under any circumstances;
    • does not apply to students who fail to meet the eligibility criteria at any point in the application or enrolment process.

7. University Rights

  • UCA reserves the right to:
    • amend, suspend, or withdraw this incentive at any time, without prior notice;
    • make changes to eligible accommodation sites or pricing as needed;
    • withhold the incentive if a student is found to have provided false or misleading information during the application process.
  • UCA accepts no liability for circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) residence closures, policy changes, or force majeure events.
