GDL is a community that aims to connect game developers in London and the surrounding areas, with its flagship event, GDLX, the Game Dev Local Expo.
GDLX 2026 is the ultimate gathering for indie game developers and enthusiasts, showcasing the brightest talent in the industry and sharing knowledge, experiences, and building connections.
The event, taking place on Saturday 28 March, includes opportunities to play the latest indie games and talks from industry leaders on the talk stages, including the Fireside Stage hosted by Oscar Clark. Topics will range from game design, programming, art, and sound.
New for 2026 is the Games Stage, where you can hear tales of game developers’ journeys from indie dev studios, interviews with devs, games showcased on stage and lessons learnt along the way.

Another highlight of GDLX is its GDL Indie Awards, introduced to recognise and celebrate the exceptional talent within the UK indie game industry. These awards are a unique opportunity for developers to nominate their own work and be celebrated at the exclusive awards ceremony.
The event is followed by an industry networking after-party where you can connect with fellow developers and gamers, and where future collaborations take shape.

Whether you're a seasoned pro, a student looking to break into the industry, or an indie game fan eager to experience something new, GDLX offers something for everyone – bringing the community together to learn, grow, and collaborate.
Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.
