The competition, which coincides with SEAT’s 75th anniversary, invited young creatives to design a special edition of the iconic SEAT Ibiza, inspired by the brand’s values and spirit.
“With SEAT Imagineers, we set ourselves a clear objective: to connect young design talent with SEAT, offering them the opportunity to continue their education – in collaboration with LCI Barcelona, School of Design and Visual Arts – and to gain hands-on professional experience”, said Arantxa Alonso, Chief Brand Officer at SEAT.
Jamie’s design, inspired by the outline of the Barcelona map, was selected for its originality and innovative approach.
Jamie explained: “I designed an eye-catching, creative, quirky pattern based on the borders of Barcelona to capture the story of SEAT, where it originated and where it is today.
“Winning the competition is life-changing. To know that my work, which combined my passion for cars with design, has been recognised by industry designers who believed in my vision.
“It has also given me the opportunity to study another Master’s degree at LCI Barcelona School of Design and Visual Arts and a 6-month internship at SEAT design, where I get to work alongside industry designers to learn new skills and work with a car brand – it is a dream come true.”
Alessandro Manetti, Vice President Europe of LCI Education, said: “LCI and SEAT share a common vision: to promote applied creativity as a driver of innovation, education, and global connection. Together, we champion young talent as a transformative force for the creative and tech industries. SEAT Imagineers not only celebrates the past, it also builds bridges to the future for the next generation of designers”.
Jamie added: “This competition has made me believe always to trust the journey you are on and believe it will lead to greater things because it does all work out in the end.”
