Illustration degrees in Clearing

Everything on UCA's Illustration degree happens in the studio. Concepts are taught through making: printmaking, letterpress, screen-printing, drawing and digital design. You'll be designing from day one of your degree. No exams, no lecture halls, no dissertation – just you, your portfolio, and your distinctive style that evolves as you develop new skills.

You'll learn from highly-experienced and industry-active illustrators, that'll deliver lessons you’ll keep referring back to when you launch your own creative career.

The course includes opportunities to work on live briefs for real industry partners and have the chance to enter competitions including the Penguin Design Awards, Folio Society, and Macmillan Prize.

Every year many students as can you get into Illustration through Clearing? And the answer is yes! Many students secure places on Illustration courses through Clearing every year.

You may be eligible for an Illustration Clearing place if:

• You've received your results and are looking for available courses
• You've changed your mind about where or what to study
• You didn't meet the conditions of your original offer
• You're applying to university after the main UCAS deadline

Illustration applicants may be asked to provide examples of creative work or a portfolio. Our admissions team will explain the current requirements and guide you through the process.
