What do our students from India say?

One of our students, Pearlswin, shared her experience studying at UCA:

She is an example of why there is never a right age to start a degree and come to a whole new country to expand your practice:

“UCA actually gives you that opportunity to be really unique, they teach you, they give you the opportunity mainly to pursue your dream no matter what your age.”

When we asked her what she loves about UCA, she really values:

“The freedom to think, the freedom to create what I really want.”

“I genuinely love my course”

She reflects on how much she has changed and grown:

“The person I was 3 years ago, is not the person I am in this room. Moving to the UK has actually impacted me in so many different ways, the way I speak, the way I sit, the way I stand.”

She explains that living and studying in the UK helped her become more confident and decisive:

“I’m not that girl in some back corner trying to get her ideas in the room between like a hundred people, I’m that girl who makes those decisions. I’m the person who will be in the spotlight where I decide, this is my idea.”

“I think my life in the UK has actually made me more like a leader rather than a background character.”

From the visa application to arrival, she highlights how smooth her experience has been.

“The communication process was very smooth”

“When I was coming from India, my visa process was really smooth”.

She is also grateful for the people she’s met so far during her journey here at UCA:

“My best friends, the friends I made are like beautiful, they’re not just like random people I met here three years ago, they’re more like, I don’t want to say something cliché like family, they’re more like critical thinkers and people who have really great ideas.”

When we asked for advice for anyone uncertain about moving to the UK, she clearly said:

“If you don’t take any risks in your life, you will regret it later.”

“Take that risk, go for that plane, go for that uni, take that career that everybody is scared to do because if you don’t dare to dream, then I don’t know what you’re living for, so go for it.“
