Whether you are studying for your undergraduate or postgraduate degree, you will have the support of UCA’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutors. EAP lessons and 1:1 tutorials are available for all international students whose first language is not English.
Our in-sessional EAP tutors work closely with your academic lecturers to provide specialised language support for individual degree programmes. We offer a wide range of support, for example:
- academic skills workshops to explain key skills needed for successful study
- understanding project briefs and assessment criteria
- teaching effective research skills
- learning how to reference correctly and avoid plagiarism
- providing support with academic writing
We also run monthly language cafés to help you gain confidence, improve your speaking skills, and meet other international students.
