Each year, we’re privileged to be able to share our graduates’ incredible work with the world. And now’s your chance to take a look.

Photography facilities & equipment

As well as photographic studios and access to hire cameras, tripods and lighting equipment from the media stores, UCA offers colour and black and white darkrooms for traditional printing from small, medium and large-format negatives.

Our digital photography area includes medium and large format printers and digital scanners.

The small photography studio contains constant lighting Kenoflows mounted on pantographs.

This large photography studio contains six Bowens flash heads mounted on pantographs and a variety of light modifiers, soft boxes and shoot throughs snoots.

This room contains:

  • Three PC workstations with Epson film scanners
  • RA4 colour print machine
  • Nine colour negative enlargers with booths

This is our largest library space, which includes:

  • 55 iMac workstations
  • 41 PC workstations
  • 4 study pods with electrical connections and monitor
  • 2 study pods without monitor
  • 5 DSA Loanable laptops (students can borrow from the library only if approved by our Disability staff on DDA grounds, for an agreed period)
  • Large collection of LGBTQ+, Fashion, Feminist, Photography, Mental Health and Illustration Zines
