Our games degrees

Our games degrees are taught at our Farnham campus, meaning we're surrounded by the many major games studios and production companies that are based in Surrey, and offer opportunities to connect and gain experience.

Our degrees are built around making games, not reading or writing about them. You'll work in cross-disciplinary teams or designers,  artists and developers. You'll pitch ideas, defend mechanics, and have the chance to present work at industry events including GDLX and Guildford Games Festival.

You'll be taught at our Farnham campus in Surrey.

Each year, we’re privileged to be able to share our graduates’ incredible work with the world. And now’s your chance to take a look.

Facilities & equipment

We have studios with high-end PCs with Alienware towers, 4k dual screen monitors and Wacom Cintiq graphics tablets, all dedicated to games design, with software including Unity and Unreal games engines.

There is also a VR development studio, and a dedicated Games Incubator Studio for graduate entrepreneurs looking to set up their own companies or looking to release games to market.

In addition, our Farnham campus has sound production and Foley studios, pro tools and a specialist library.

This is our largest library space, which includes:

  • 55 iMac workstations
  • 41 PC workstations
  • 4 study pods with electrical connections and monitor
  • 2 study pods without monitor
  • 5 DSA Loanable laptops (students can borrow from the library only if approved by our Disability staff on DDA grounds, for an agreed period)
  • Large collection of LGBTQ+, Fashion, Feminist, Photography, Mental Health and Illustration Zines
