The UCA Students' Union (UCASU) is an independent organisation led by students, for students.
It's here to help you make the most of your time at UCA by representing your interests and building a strong student community.
Every UCA student is automatically a member of the SU, giving you access to confidential support, a wide range of events, and opportunities to help improve the student experience.
Representation
Your voice matters. The SU works to ensure that you are heard and represented across the university.
The Union supports a network of student representatives who gather feedback from classmates and work with university staff to improve the student experience for everyone. This isn’t just about teaching and learning. From campus facilities to student wellbeing, student reps help push through positive change across UCA.
The SU also runs student elections, giving you the opportunity to vote for the students who will represent your interests and lead the Union. You can even stand for election yourself and play an active role in shaping the future of student life at UCA.
Events
The SU organises a variety of events throughout the year to help students connect, celebrate and get involved in university life.
This includes nights out, cultural celebrations, day activities, annual awards, student markets and much more.
There really is something for everyone. These events are a great way to meet other students and make lasting friendships.
Clubs & societies
Joining a club or society is a great way to meet like-minded people, develop new skills and make the most of your university experience.
You can get involved in a wide variety of student-run groups reflecting different interests, hobbies and communities. There are more than 80 clubs and societies across UCA right now, and that number is always growing. If you can't find the group you're looking for, you can work with the SU to start a new one.
Getting involved is one of the best ways to build friendships and create memories that last long after graduation.
Some of the current clubs and societies you can join include:
