Professor Lyndsay Duthie, Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Creative Economy, said: “Following the launch of Farnham Craft Month and the town’s proud status as a World Craft Town, we’re delighted to be opening UCA’s specialist creative facilities to the wider community.
“Our new evening classes offer people in Farnham and beyond the opportunity to access professional studios, equipment and expertise in a welcoming environment – perfect for beginners. It’s a fantastic way to encourage creativity, develop new skills and make the most of the incredible resources we have here in the heart of the town.”
Classes range from photography, ceramics, and glassblowing to printmaking and painting, with each course giving you hands-on access to UCA’s specialist facilities, workshops and studios, as well as professional equipment and staff expertise.

The classes will focus on learning through making, building practical skills, experimenting with new creative processes, and producing your own work. You don’t need previous experience or a creative qualification to take part.

And throughout December, UCA in Farnham will also host a range of Christmas Craft Evenings, where you can try your hand at one of our specialist craft processes and create something festive to keep or give as a gift. Activities include Glass Christmas Bauble Making, Festive Lino Printing, and Festive Screen Printing.

All classes run on Tuesday evenings during November and December.
Visit the Creative Evening Classes page for more information and sign up before 9 November 2026.
