Entry requirements

If you do not have UK qualifications, we will consider equivalent qualifications from Bangladesh for entry onto our Foundation, Bachelor’s and Master’s courses.

Each application we receive is considered individually and therefore these qualifications are provided as a guide.

Please also check the entry requirements on the specific course you are interested in to check for course-specific requirements.

If you are not sure if you have the necessary qualifications please contact internationaladmissions@uca.ac.uk.


For our Bachelor's courses, we usually require that you have pass the Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or the Equivalent to 65% of total GPA.

For our International Foundation in Creative Practices and our Integrated International Foundation courses, we usually require that you have a Bangladeshi Higher Secondary Certificate, showing 12 years of completed school study, with 3.0 out of 5.0 or better.

For our Master's courses, we usually require that you have:

  • A 4 year Bachelors Degree with 65% overall/or 2.7/4.0 min CGPA
  • Students from the following Universities will be considered with 55% in a 3 year degree programme - NSU, Brac, IUB, East West, AIUB, Bangladesh University of Professionals, any government or private university which comes under Bangladesh UGC, BUET. 

Scholarships & bursaries

UCA offers a number of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, specific to students from overseas.

These discounts are available to new international students and international alumni, who have graduated within the last three years.
