UCA has created the Creative Industries Network for Surrey – an open voluntary network and working group that brings together a dynamic range of diverse practitioners and businesses from across the creative sector to share common challenges, opportunities and best practices.
It has been developed and is hosted by UCA, and is funded by UCA AHRC IAA allocation and KTP Capacity Building Competition 2022.
The Creative Industries Network will support and become a collective voice for local creative industry businesses, development agencies and regional local authorities.
The Network’s objectives are:
- To understand and respond to the needs of small creative industry businesses supporting the growth of the Surrey and South East creative economy.
- To support the development of creative technology businesses.
- To open pathways to regional investment, funding collaborations, innovation and growth in the creative economy.
The aim of the Creative Industries Network is support and uplift local creative industry businesses, development agencies and regional local authorities. This may be of particular interest to organisations within the following industries:
- CreaTech
- Games
- TV, film and production
- Advertising
- Architecture
- Arts & Culture
- Crafts
- Design
- Fashion
- Music
- Publishing
From inception and as it grows, the Creative Industries Network offers the opportunity to establish and build vital relationships within the creative industries, share best practice and support future developments alongside a diverse group of creative industry professionals.
It aims to provide learning opportunities, including expert workshops and masterclasses aimed to boost growth and innovation such as business resilience, talent development and finance skills.
It will also promote the support and collaboration opportunities available for your business. including pathways to finance.
