We aim to ensure that students are industry ready, entrepreneurial in their outlook and equipped to become freelancers or to start a business within their chosen sector.
The team is also the principal point of contact for external partners within the region and supports the University in the development of regional partnerships with local organisations such as Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPS), local authorities and business groups.
Working closely with the academic staff, the Careers & Employability team and the Students' Union, Creative Enterprise delivers a programme of activities including workshops, webinars, virtual online resources and 1-2-1 mentoring which compliment personal development planning (PDP).
To develop the student entrepreneur we offer specialist subject specific workshops and lectures and a wide variety of events, support, advice and guidance. These include:

Our Creative Enterprise Coordinators are here to offer 1-2-1's. Through the Creative Enterprise database of Alumni mentors we will give honest and constructive feedback on early stage business ideas.

As a UCA alumni you may have the opportunity to become part of the exclusive group of alumni speakers who support the next generation of UCA entrepreneurs.
UCA is a UKVI authorising body which means that UCA international students, who wish to establish a business in the UK, can apply to be sponsored on a Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa.
Places are limited and applicants need to demonstrate a genuine and credible business idea. Applications are made in the last year of study.
The team has long-established relationships with business, cultural and creative industries and a wealth of experience working in collaboration and partnership across the regions, the UK and Europe as well as internationally.
