UCA's photography degree is designed for every kind of photographer. Most photographers work across several genres, especially early in their careers, such as documentary, portraiture, studio, editorial, events, and commercial. This photography course is built around that reality. You'll develop a specialism you love, while building skills in a range of areas.
You'll present your work in public exhibitions, work on campaigns for real clients. Past and present partners include the National Portrait Gallery and South Hill Park Arts Centre, where students have exhibited and presented work, the Financial Times, photo director runs workshops and portfolio reviews on campus.
Building professional skills in marketing, pricing and contracts all form part of the photography degree, meaning you'll be ready to manage a professional workload and take on freelance jobs once you graduate.
