Dr Frank Fitzpatrick

Dr Frank Fitzpatrick is Director of the Strategic Business Management Programme at the Business School for the Creative Industries at UCA after an accomplished overseas career in international leadership in Education and Cultural Relations at senior leadership level across three continents.

Dr Frank Fitzpatrick is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and has a PhD in Cross-Cultural Communication, Masters degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Linguistics (MA) and a BA in Organisational Behaviour from UK universities.

He is an active researcher and has recently published Understanding Intercultural Interaction: An Analysis of Key Concepts (2020) with Emerald Publishing. A 2nd Edition will be published in 2024.

Understanding Intercultural Interaction: An Analysis of Key Concepts

The 2nd Edition places new emphasis on the ‘global workplace’, providing an overview and analysis of key concepts in culture and interaction to develop understanding in areas such as global working, diversity management, interculturality, and cross-cultural ethics.

Research statement

His main research interests are Cross-Cultural Adjustment, Interculturality, Third Culture Identity, International HRM and International Relocation and Mobility.

He is an author and reviewer for Critical Perspectives on International Business and has published several books and articles on international business.
