Additional
notes

* BAME attainment is significantly below White student performance. The gap is decreasing year on year, as a result of focused activity to understand factors impacting on BAME student success and provide relevant and embedded support. UCA has committed to reducing the gap by 2024/25: this presents a significant challenge and is one of two key focuses for significant activity to ensure comparable learning opportunities across UCA demographics.

Improving the attainment of BAME students is a key strategic priority for UCA, targeted within the Key Performance Indicators for the University and 2018 Strategic Plan. Measures to improve attainment targets the BAME student experience from application through to employment and includes: implementing a BAME Manifesto and supporting an internally funded research project into the BAME student experience at UCA.
