Joint Vice-Chancellor, Professor Melanie Gray, said: “More than a league table result, this is a sign of growing momentum. It reinforces UCA’s position as a leading specialist creative university and highlights the important role we play in developing the talent, ideas and innovation that will shape the future of the creative industries.”
UCA was recognised nationally by the Complete University Guide as one of the sector's ‘Major Climbers’, with the University improving its position by six places relative to its competitors.

The strongest performing subjects were Computer Sciences, which leapt up 25 places, Drama, Dance & Cinematics, which rose 12 places, and Architecture, which climbed 9 places.
While the strongest area of improvement was its Academic Services Spend – how much was spent on supporting services like IT and libraries. UCA was named the second-highest ranked university in this category, placing above its immediate competitors.

Professor Gray added: “The result reflects positive progress across the University and the experience our students are having today. More students are continuing their studies, progressing successfully through their courses and reporting greater overall satisfaction at UCA. Together, these improvements are an indicator of a university moving forward with confidence, ambition and purpose.”
