Four University for the Creative Arts (UCA) students – Jessica Boylett, Deise de Carvalho, Heidi Nicholson and Hannah Gilmour - are in the running for the first ever Global Design Graduate Show (GDGS) – and they need your support before the vote closes on Monday 14 September.

The GDGS online showcase has been set up by creative organization ARTSTHREAD and online publication i-D as a response to the recent Covid-19 related end-of-year show cancellations. The competition is open to all art & design students graduating year 2019-20 (undergraduate and postgraduate) in any related creative discipline, located anywhere in the world.

Almost 4,500 students have now uploaded their work across a wide range of creative categories and the judges have created four category shortlists – accessible via the Artsthread website – so the public can vote for their favourites. The categories are: Fashion-Accessories-Textiles; Digital-Visual Communication-Film; Product-Architecture-Interiors, and Fine Art-Photography-Craft.

Here’s the three UCA graduates and how to find them:

Jessica Boylett: BA (Hons) Textile Design - find her work under ‘Textiles - Print/Embroidery’ in the Fashion-Accessories-Textiles category
