Up to £2,000 fee discount available*

To support all of our current students and our recent UK and EU alumni to progress to the next level of learning, we have developed a new range of fee discounts to help with the costs of further study. The discounts here are for courses starting Autumn 2019.

Undergraduate to postgraduate taught courses

A fee discount is available to all current UCA students in their final year, and UCA graduates from up to three years ago who are progressing to a postgraduate degree (such as a MA, MArch, MFA, MSc or MBA) starting Autumn 2019 after completing their BA (Hons) degree at UCA

Discounts available:

  • For courses within the Business School, students with first-class honours or a 2.1 will get a fee discount of £2,000 and students with a 2.2 will get a fee discount of £1,500. 

  • For all other courses, students with first-class honours or a 2.1 will get a fee discount of £1,500 and students with a 2.2 will get a fee discount of £1,000.

  • Where appropriate, part-time students will get a pro-rata discount (in each year of their course up to the full-time equivalent total).

 

You do not need to apply. The discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol.

International fee discounts for new students

We have two new fee discounts, also known as scholarships, available to new students from international countries who would like study with us from September 2019. These discounts are only available to new International students and not to our current international students or alumni.

See below for information for the different scholarships available: 

  • Early bird deposit payment scholarship

    Update: Please note that all early bird deposit scholarships have now been allocated for the 2019/20 academic year.

    150 scholarships of £1,000, awarded as a fee discount, will be available for new international students who pay their tuition fee deposit early.

    To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

    • Pay your £2,500 tuition fee deposit by 31 March 2019 (if you are taking a Pre-sessional English course before your main course of study) or 30 April 2019 (if you are not taking a Pre-sessional English course)
    • Be one of the first 150 applicants to pay the deposit before the deadline date (a maximum of 150 scholarships are available)
    • Pay your tuition fees in full by the end of the enrolment period of your course.

    If you are one of the 150 applicants to be awarded the early bird deposit payment scholarship, you will also receive a further discount of 4% off the already discounted tuition fee, because you will have paid your fees for your course in full before the end of the enrolment period.

  • Gifted student scholarship

    A limited number of scholarships of £2,000, paid as a fee discount, will be available for new international students applying for a taught degree course (Bachelor’s and taught Master’s courses) who are considered to be gifted.

    • Only offer holders are eligible for this scholarship, so if you haven’t already, please submit your course application to UCA as soon as possible so that you can be considered.
    • You will be judged by academic staff on the quality of your application, portfolio/audition, previous experience, qualifications and interview performance, where applicable. Selectors will make a recommendation on whether you are eligible for a ‘gifted’ scholarship.
    • If academic staff recommend you for a gifted scholarship, you will be asked to submit a statement about why you think you are eligible for it. Your statement should be send by email to: internationalscholarship@uca.ac.uk You need to submit this statement by the end of May 2019.
    • In addition to your academic/creative merit, you must have accepted your offer, and paid your deposit of £2,500 by the end of May 2019 in order to be considered for the gifted student scholarship.
    • A panel will meet in June and confirm the 60 students that will receive the scholarship.

    These are fee discount schemes and not cash awards.

    Discounts are only available to new international students at UCA and not current students or alumni.

    You may be awarded both of the above two scholarships up to a maximum of £2,000 in total.

    If you have been awarded an Early bird deposit scholarship you will only receive £1,000 Gifted scholarship, to give a maximum of £2,000 combined award for both scholarships. 

    For both of these scholarships there is also a further discount of 4% off the already discounted fees if you pay your fees in full before the end of the enrolment period for your course.

International fee discounts for current students

We have a range of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, available to our current students from international countries who would like to continue studying with us in September 2019. These discounts are only available to current International students and not to our international alumni.

To be eligible for a fee waiver discount under the new discount/scholarship scheme, international applicants must have paid their deposit by the end of June 2019.

You do not need to apply. The discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol. 

See below for information for the different levels of study: 

  • International Foundation in Art, Design & Media to undergraduate courses

    For this course, you can get a progression discount of 10% and an early payment discount of 4% off the fees for the first year of the course you are progressing to.

  • Pre-degree to undergraduate courses

    For these courses there is a fee discount of 10% and 4% early payment discount off the first year for the course you are progressing to.

  • Undergraduate to postgraduate taught courses

    A fee discount, sometimes known as a ‘scholarship’, is available to all current international UCA students in their final year, who are progressing to a postgraduate degree (such as a MA, MArch, MFA, MSc or MBA), starting in 2019 after completing their BA (Hons) degree at UCA.  

    Discounts available are:

    • £2,000 fee discount if you graduate with first-class honours or a 2.1

    • £1,000 fee discount for all other eligible graduates

    To receive this scholarship you must pay your deposit by the end of June 2019 and pay your tuition fees in full by the end of the enrolment period.

    You do not need to apply for this scholarship, if you are eligible the discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol.

  • Graduate Diploma: Art & Design to postgraduate taught courses

    For this course, you can get a progression discount of 10% and an early payment discount of 4% off the fees for the first year of the course you are progressing to.

  • Postgraduate taught to postgraduate research courses

    Fee discounts are available to all current international students in their final year who wish to progress to a postgraduate research degree starting in 2018 after completing a postgraduate taught degree at UCA.

    • If you achieve a Distinction at MA you will receive a fee discount of £3,000 off the first year of your research degree.

    • If you achieve below Distinction, you will be awarded a discount of £2,000 off the fee for the first year of a research degree.

    You do not need to apply for this scholarship, if you are eligible the discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol.

    These are fee discount schemes and not cash awards.

    Discounts are only available to current international students at UCA and not alumni. To be eligible you must not have a break between your course courses.

    The 10% progression discount and 4% early payment discounts are also in place for international students who will be awarded whichever is the most advantageous to their circumstances.

    To be eligible for a fee waiver discount under the new discount/scholarship scheme, international applicants must have paid their deposit by end of June 2019.

    You do not need to apply for this scholarship, if you are eligible the discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol. These discounts are not available for students progressing to the MArch Architecture course.
