Entry requirements

If you do not have UK qualifications, we will consider equivalent qualifications from Sri Lanka for entry onto our Foundation, Bachelor’s and Master’s courses.

Each application we receive is considered individually and therefore these qualifications are provided as a guide.

Please also check the entry requirements on the specific course you are interested in to check for course-specific requirements.

For our Bachelor's courses, we usually require that you have one of the following:

  • Grades BBC in Sri Lanka A levels
  • A recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution following a validated UK syllabus
  • Successful completion of year 1 Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution with at least 60%

For our International Foundation in Creative Practices and our Integrated International Foundation courses, we usually require that you have five O levels at Grade C.

For our Master's courses with Integrated International Pre-masters, we usually require that you have successfully completed a 3 or 4 year Bachelor's degree from a recognised university, with 60% overall.

For our Master's courses, we usually require that you have successfully completed a 4 year Bachelor's degree from a recognised university, with 65% overall.

For degree entry, Grade C in O level English or A level English Language and/or Literature.

Scholarships & bursaries

UCA offers a number of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, specific to students from overseas.

These discounts are available to new international students and international alumni, who have graduated within the last three years.
