Academic requirements:

For our International Foundation in Art, Design and Media, we usually require that you have:

  • 12 completed years of Japanese High School (Upper Secondary Leaving Certificate) with average grade of 3.0/5.0 or higher.

For our Bachelor's courses, we usually require that you have one of the following:

  • Japanese Associate degree.
    OR
  • A transcript showing successful completion of year 1 of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised Japanese university with average score of 70%.

For Advanced entry, we usually require that you have: 

  •  Completed an Associate degree with a score of at least 70%.

For our Master's courses, we usually require that you have:

  • Successful completion of your Bachelor's degree from a recognised university

For the Master of Architecture (MArch), we require the equivalent of a UK 2:1 Honours degree in Architecture. The exact grade required will be confirmed at the time of application

English Language requirements:

  • Satisfactory IELTS scores are required. Please check here for the scores required for your course.

We have a number of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, available to new students from international countries who would like study with us from September 2022. These discounts are available to new International students and International alumni who graduated within the last three years.

An additional 4% discount (applied post scholarship) is offered to students who pay their full tuition fees before the end of the enrolment period. This discount can be combined with all scholarships & discounts.

UCA Creative Development Scholarships

£3,000 fee deduction for the first year  All full-time courses including PhD All applicants who are residents of specific countries, see list in criteria 

All applicants who are residents of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Iran, Nigeria, Ghana, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Pakistan,Kazakhstan, Russia or Iraq AND first year tuition fees paid in full by the deadline of second instalment. The scholarship will automatically be awarded to applicants if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Terms and conditions

Eligibility

  • Applicable for 2022-23 entry.
  • The scholarship cannot be combined with any other UCA scholarship.
  • Successful applicants will be expected to get involved in promotional activities.
  • There are a limited number of each scholarship available and they are awarded on a first come first serve basis so long as you meet the eligibility criteria and you have been nominated by an academic.

How to apply

The early-bird scholarship will be automatically awarded if you meet all the eligibility criteria.

For all other scholarships if you are not nominated by an academic member of staff at your interview you can apply directly using the International Scholarship Application Form.

Once you have submitted your application you will receive an automated email confirming your form submission.
