Dr Lilian Sanchez-Moreno

Dr Lilian Sanchez-Moreno is a researcher in circular economy at UCA’s Centre for Sustainable Design. Her research focuses on product circularity, fashion and policy and sustainable sports gear. Further research interests include environmental design histories and social design practices.

Bio

Lilian is a design practitioner and researcher with subject expertise in sustainable design, design methods and the intersection between design practice, design history and material culture. She was awarded a PhD from the School of Architecture and Design at the University of Brighton where she explored the professionalization of social design in discourse and practice from the mid-1970s to contemporary design. Prior to completing her doctoral studies, Lilian worked in the private sector as an industrial designer after completing a BA in product design in Mexico City. She has also lectured on design methods, studies, and design history, with a focus on development, humanitarianism, and social design.
