Eshwar Nagilla

Eshwar’s professional practice focuses on the intersection of digital media, 3D technologies, immersive experiences and creative practice. At UCA, he works across technical and academic teaching as a Technical Tutor and Associate Lecturer, delivering workshops, lectures, inductions and one-to-one tutorials across undergraduate and postgraduate creative programmes. He supports student projects, assessment and moderation, while contributing to curriculum development and the management of XR and 3D teaching facilities, digital resources and technical workflows.

His work explores immersive media, virtual production, 3D design, XR/VR, digital environments and emerging creative technologies, with a particular interest in how technology can enable new forms of visual communication, storytelling and creative expression. He has worked extensively with Unreal Engine and other 3D platforms to develop immersive and virtual experiences, while supporting students in applying industry-standard digital workflows to creative projects.

Eshwar has contributed to initiatives supporting innovation in digital education at UCA, including work associated with its MA Digital Fashion programme, ranked No.1 globally by The Rookies. His teaching approach is practical, inclusive and practice-led, combining technical expertise with creative experimentation, critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration. He is passionate about helping students develop the confidence, critical awareness and transferable digital skills required for contemporary creative industries.

Alongside his teaching, Eshwar contributes to technical resource development, workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and is interested in research and practice-led exploration across immersive technologies, virtual production, digital design and sustainable creative practices.
