Marketing Strategy and Digital Futures
This unit provides a comprehensive examination of the fundamental principles of marketing management, delving into the complexities of current marketing practices with a special focus on the creative industry. By integrating cutting-edge analytical tools with traditional marketing frameworks, this unit aims to provide you with a nuanced understanding of marketing performance in the digital age.

Business Economics in the Creative Industry
This unit provides you with an understanding of economics and the ability to apply the various principles taught to real-world problems in creative industries. You will study the principles of economics and you will also have the opportunity to apply economic concepts and models specifically to the decisions facing businesses in creative industries.

People and Global Culture in the Creative Industry
This unit is intended to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the complex interplay between individuals and culture on a global scale, with a focus on the creative industries. By delving into the rich tapestry of diverse cultural landscapes, you will gain a better understanding and appreciation for the nuanced factors that shape human behaviours and societal norms all over the world.

Operations and Supply Chain Management in the Creative Industry
The competitiveness of modern organisations is not solely based on the inherent quality of their products or services, but also on the speed and precision of their delivery to customers or clients. This unit teaches you the strategic approaches used and the importance of  a well-executed operation and supply chain management system in maintaining a competitive edge and fostering customer loyalty.

Final Major Project
The culmination of your studies, the Final Major Project is the opportunity to conceptualise and carry out a project that relates directly to your career ambitions and that will facilitate your path into a career in or related to your course content in the creative industries. It will take the form of a Research Project Proposal (20% of your final mark) and the Final Project (80%)

This unit is self-directed, although you will be supported through taught research methods classes, support workshops and through supervision meetings.

At UCA we offer a number of scholarships and fee discounts available to assist you with the cost of your studies.

Below are some of the scholarships that you may be interested in.

  • Value: £3,000 fee deduction for the first year
  • Course(s): All full-time courses
  • Eligibility: All international applicants
  • Criteria: The scholarship will be automatically awarded if candidates meet all eligibility criteria. No application is required.
  • Value: £4,000 for students that pass and progress to the next stage of their undergraduate or postgraduate course (excluding the International Foundation in Creative Practices and one-semester integrated pre-masters).
  • Course(s): All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught degree courses.
  • Eligibility: All international students.
  • Criteria: Students need to achieve a pass or above in the previous year of study.

Note 1: Students who joined UCA before Sept 2025 will receive the Excellence scholarship if they achieved a pass or above in their previous year's study, valued at £2,000 per year (£4,000 for Nepalese students).

Note 2: Students who join in Sept 2025 will receive the UCA Continuing Performance Scholarship.

Note 3: Students who joined in Sept 2025 receive £2,000 each progressing year of an undergraduate course (excludes PPY). £4,000 per year for students from South Asian countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka).
