Do you want to spend a summer in South Korea while learning Korean or deepen your learning at a Korean University? Dankook is offering UCA Students the opportunity to enrol in either the Summer Academic Program or International Summer School in the Summer of 2024.
Academic Summer Program
Learn something new or develop your skills or perspective by taking two summer academic programs at DanKook this July.
Program Dates: 11 July until 7 August 2024
Courses on offer: Find out what courses you can take HERE. You can choose to take one morning and one afternoon program.
Tuition Fees: $2,800 for two courses or $1,800 for one course. All fees include accommodation.

Korean Immersion Program
Immerse yourself in Korean culture by learning Korean in this 3-week program. You can also add optional Korean Culture tips and activities to your program at your own cost.
Start Date: 6 August - 21 August 2024
Tuition Fees: $1,200. This includes accommodation fees.
Application: Apply to Dankook directly HERE and provide UCA with a copy of your application via exchange@uca.ac.uk. Applications close on the 31 May 2024.

All students will be responsible for the cost of Flights, Visas, Insurance, any optional activities you wish to apply for, and general living and personal expenses.
You can apply for to UCA for a Turing Grant to help cover the cost of living during your exchange placement. Grant Funding depends on the length of your course. For more details, please contact exchange@uca.ac.uk
No. Courses and programs studied during summer are not credit bearing towards your UCA degree. You will however receive completion certificates and transcripts from Dankook for your personal record.
You will be allocated an on-campus dorm for the duration of your program.
- All participants will be placed in a double occupancy room of our on-campus dormitory.
- Each room is furnished with 2 single beds, bedding, desks, chairs, wardrobes, a phone, WiFi, A/C, and a private bathroom.
- A variety of facilities are also available for students’ convenience such as a laundry room, restaurant, gym, convenience store, etc.
- Students don’t need to bring bedding from home. Western style bed sheets aren’t widely used in Korea;
- However, a Korean style sheet/mat for use on the bed as well as a blanket and pillow are provided to each student.
- When double rooms are full, you may be assigned to a 4-person room.
- Please note that students can stay in the dorm only for the length of the program period.

1. Apply to UCA - Email exchange@uca.ac.uk and include your student number, UCA course and the Dankook Program you wish to apply for by 30th March 2024.
2. UCA will nomination you for a place - We will complete your nomination to UCA and inform you of the outcome
3. Apply directly to Dankook - We will provide you application links to secure you place, select your courses and book any optional activities.
