Tim joins UCA after 10 years working at Birmingham City University responsible for strategic planning, performance monitoring and policy analysis.

He has played a key role in increasing student recruitment from 7100 to 8400 over the last 3 years. He also has an expert understanding of the strategic priorities facing Universities and can situate proposed developments within that context.

Previously, he spent 5 years at the University of Bolton, and 14 years in the private sector in a variety of roles across British Aerospace. He worked in Engineering, International Marketing, HR, Corporate Change and was the Business Manager for Customer Training, and had responsibilities both across various locations in the UK plus Toulouse, Berlin and Istanbul.

Tim graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Durham, gained registration as a Chartered Engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration with an Institute of Management National Award in Strategic Management.

He is a talented musician, enjoys listening to live music and has sung in choirs and played in various orchestras. He is also a keen sci-fi fan and particularly of Doctor Who.
