Susan Finlay is a lecturer in Design Specialism
Susan Finlay studied Fine Art at Camberwell and The Royal College of Art and Art and Design Education at the IOE, University of London. She has several years experience teaching home and international students, and within the contexts of both studio and academic practices. She has worked within HE and FE (Wimbledon, Chelsea, LCF and Working Men’s College as well as UCA) and as an artist-educator at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
Susan has written on art, architecture and fashion for a wide range of institutions including The Guardian, The Museums and Galleries’ History Group, The South London Gallery and Ackerman Daly. From 2008 – 2010 she was founding and contributing editor with The Coelacanth Press, and from 2012 – 2015 she curated the artists and writers’ organ Jour Mal Jour Nal.
