Simon Pruciak

Simon Pruciak is a lens-based artist whose work includes photography, moving image and installation. He is interested in the interconnections between Buddhist and pre-Socratic philosophy and ways in which these continue to be reflected in contemporary western philosophy.

Pruciak received BA and MA degrees in Fine Art Photography as well as PGCE in Creative Arts Education. Besides his academic work, Pruciak is a practicing artist. Pruciak also works as a Director of Photography; Fragment and Trace, artist video which he cinematographed, was premiered at the 56th Venice Biennale and since shown at Bodrum Biennale and Chicago Performance Art Festival.
