Maren Hahnfeld

Maren Hahnfeld joined UCA as Lecturer in Film Production and Photography in 2013. Prior to this, she worked in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Kingston University and in the Department of Media at Middlesex University.

At Hillcroft College, Residential Women’s College in Surbiton, Maren set up a range of Photography and Filmmaking courses.

Maren graduated with a BA (Hons) Photography from the London College of Printing before completing an MA in Filmmaking at Bristol University and a PGCE at Greenwich University. Prior to lecturing, Maren worked as a producer/director for BBC Factual Television and a range of independent television companies. She also produced independent documentaries and photography projects. 

Maren has taught across a number of filmmaking and media courses, including Single Camera Production, Media Industries and Investigating Television.
