Liz oversees the collaborative provision, study abroad, summer school and visiting scholars activities within the International Partnerships Team.

After graduating with a BA (Hons) in History with QTS and an MA in International Relations – Diplomacy from the University of Bucharest, Romania Liz moved to the UK, where she held various positions in the education sector, working both in FE and HE.

She started her career as a researcher, having worked with leading academics from Bucharest’s art scene on the development of a Romanian Artists’ Dictionary. Between 2015-16 Liz delivered a European Commission-funded pilot enterprise programme aimed at artists and artisans from the UK, Italy and Cyprus.

Before joining UCA, Liz worked for a private training provider as European Manager, delivering EU-funded curriculum development strategic partnerships and overseeing Erasmus+ student mobilities. An enthusiastic supporter of collaborations between academia and industry, Liz also worked as Research & Development Knowledge Transfer Programme Facilitator for the University of Wolverhampton.

Professional interests include sustainable development and education for sustainability. Personal interests include rock climbing and wild swimming.
