Altea Grau Vidal studied her BA in Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia where she also completed a Bachelor Degree in Music.
After doing several art residencies in Italy, Spain, Ireland and England, in 2012 she was awarded the Davalos Fletcher Foundation Scholarship to undertake an MA in Book Arts at the Camberwell College Arts in London. In 2014 she started to work at the prestigious printmaking studio Thumbprint Editions assisting artists such as Antony Gormley, Cornelia Parker, Anish Kapoor or Gillian Ayres amongst others to develop their own print projects.
Altea is currently finishing her PhD based at Chelsea College of Arts London and continuing her career as an artist exhibiting in England and abroad. Her practice explores the materiality of the notion of double page spread and how it is perceived in relation to concepts such as echo, fold, space and mirroring.
