Dr Sabeena Gadihoke at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre in Jamia Millia Islamia University (India), Professor Anna Fox and Maria Kapajeva, from the University for the Creative Arts (UK), have organized the third research workshop for the Fast Forward 2 International Networks project.
This next workshop, in the centre of New Delhi, includes significant and early career professionals from the fields of photography, art, education and gender studies to discuss the current position for women in photography as well as to look at histories that may have been neglected.
The workshop is timed to happen at the same time as a number of key exhibitions including Acts of Appearance by Gauri Gill at Nature Morte, The City - Janos-faced by Anoli Perera’s at Shrine Empire Gallery and a group exhibition with many women Mutations: Indo-French Image Encounters, curated by Rahaab Allana & François Cheval at 24 Jor Bagh.
Invited guests and presenters will share new knowledge and discuss future projects to enhance and develop the position of the women photographers of the future.
