Industry expert to lead Film Production courses at UCA Farnham

The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has appointed Tiana Harper as the new Course Leader for Film Production at the University’s Farnham campus.

After training in producing and directing at the Northern Film School, Tiana was awarded a David Lean Scholarship to study for an MA in Screenwriting at Royal Holloway, University of London. She then went on to work in the film, television and performance industries in producing, directing, scriptwriting and performance-coaching roles.

Tiana’s accomplishments include an Emmy citation for her work on The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and her career has included production on feature films for Disney and 20th Century Fox, as well as writing, directing and producing roles on documentary films for Channel 4 and Discovery.

“I am delighted to be leading the Film Production courses at UCA and looking forward to working with the new students and the existing cohort in September,” Tiana said.

“Working at a specialist creative university is a real honour and I’m excited to be able to work with colleagues across the institution while utilising my own experience of the film and television industries to continue the development of the excellent Film Production department.”

Tiana holds an MA in Actor Training from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
