A graduating team of designers from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Epsom, are presenting their 2019 degree show exhibition from a mobile van.
Titled ‘thiswayup.graphics’, the cohort of BA (Hons) Graphic Design students will be on the road from the 13–28 June 2019, exhibiting at a selection of design studios across the UK.
Two London design companies have already signed up to the tour: Johnson Banks a design consultancy founded by British designer and brand consultant Michael Johnson, and J. Walter Thompson a marketing communications company.
The project, which secured its funding via a Kickstarter project, is an interpretation of the usual end-of-year graduate show. Instead of inviting people along to one venue to view the exhibition, this group of proactive students decided that this year, they would instead take their graduate show direct to the design studios.
This pop-up exhibition will feature pieces specialising in typography, future-focused graphics, illustration and information design, and is the culmination of their three-year degree course.
Each exhibition will be curated to appeal to each specific design studio and will be delivered and set up personally by the students themselves.
You can catch this pop-up exhibition at the Epsom campus on Saturday 15 June between 10-2pm.
