Until 9 October 2019, the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Rochester presents Rochester Technical, an exhibition showcasing the work of the technical staff at UCA Rochester. Using a diverse range of expertise and a mix of different media, this exhibition recognises the creative talents of UCA’s technical staff and showcases the highly specialist skills and knowledge that supports UCA’s students and their creative education at UCA.

James Macintyre, a technical tutor in digital media at UCA Rochester, who will be showcasing his post-apocalyptic vehicles in the exhibition explained: “The exhibition hopes to showcase that we too are artists who enjoy the experience of making.
"UCA Rochester has technical staff with a diverse range of skills who are always willing to try something new, experiment and learn from each other. Many pieces of work are not within our usual UCA expertise. We would like our students to take this same mentality to venture outside their comfort zone to learn new practices and skills which could further enrich their learning. From knowing what we can also create as their tutors, they now have other learning opportunities they may wish to ask us about and explore."

James continued: “It is important to show our pupils that you should never stop being a student of something you enjoy and if they see something they want to know more about, to always ask questions to further their artistic journey and experience during and after studying at UCA. We hope the visitors to the show will have as much fun viewing the exhibits as we had making them.”
